2026-2027 Parent Provided Transportation Grant

The PPT Grant is for families who do not use yellow school bus transportation.  ACA is able to apply for Parent-Provided Transportation Grant (PPT grant) on behalf of parents who arrange their own students’ transportation to and from school each day.  After administrative costs, ACA is able to provide $705 for each eligible student per academic year; based on an anticipated grant amount of $742/student/academic year.  These funds will be paid to families in August 2027.

Alberta Education and Childcare sets the criteria for this grant; and based on an application from ACA, determines student eligibility; and then pays ACA the aforementioned amount over the course of the academic year.

 Eligibility criteria is as follows:

  1. Kindergarten to Grade 6 student(s) must live greater than 1.6 km from the school, measured by the shortest route using google maps; or,

  2. Grade 7-11 student(s) must live greater than 2 km from school, measured by the shortest route using google maps; and,

  3. A signed Parent Provided Agreement must be submitted no later than September 15, 2026.

Late applications will not be accepted, unless the student enrolls at ACA after September 15 and before September 30, 2026.

Funding for the Parent Provided Transportation (PPT) grant is limited to students who do not use yellow school bus transportation. If the student uses both parental pickup and yellow school bus transportation, they are not eligible for the PPT grant.
